Prayer Warriors

Prayer is the one weapon the enemy cannot duplicate.  It is the method given by our Heavenly Father so we may have direct access to Him.  In Matt 6 Jesus instructs us how to pray.  In Luke 18:1 Jesus “told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.”   The Apostle Paul tells us in Phil. 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”  In Rev 5:8 we read that our prayers are cherished by God; “And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”

Peter Deyneka founder of the Slavic Gospel Association understood the importance and power of prayer. His motto was “Much prayer much power, little prayer little power, no prayer no power.”  On Wednesday nights prayer power is multiplied by each person who comes through the door.  We gather at 7 pm and begin with a short devotion.  Then we pray for the missionary of the week, shut-ins, the request cards that come in during Sunday worship, the requests of those in attendance and for Pastor John and family.   Additionally, over the course of every four weeks we pray through the church directory.  We invite you to come and participate in this vital ministry.
